I always wanted to go to Hong Kong but because my mom is always on some excursion to Tokyo if not Hokkaido with her friends. Therefore, I had to play the good daughter and patiently wait. After two long years, she finally fulfilled her promise! See? Patience pays.
Also, she decided to make Macau a part of our vacation! Can you believe how excited I was? I was basically buzzing over the upcoming Hong Kong trip even before my exams end!
Best of all, it is not one of those organised tour trips - very much to my father’s dismay. It’s one of those DIY trips where you have to book your own flights, arrange your own accommodation and create the itinerary yourself.
My mom and I did all of that two months before the actual trip but most of it was done by my mom. :) Kudos to my fortysomething year old mom being a tech-sass!
And so, on the 9th of January, the Chin family packed their bags and left for Hong Kong...
